Crossroads Music
History
Crossroads Music was launched in the 1990s as a distribution company for two established labels: Horizon Records and Sonlite Records. In 1995, they relocated to a new building in Arden, North Carolina. At this point, the labels were still independent companies that Crossroads promoted to retail outlets and radio promotions.
Both the labels and Crossroads were sold to the Oregon-based Pamplin Music in the late 1990s. In the early 2000s, Pamplin filed for bankruptcy, and Sonlite and Horizon were re-purchased by the former label owners Mickey Gamble and Chris White with producer Jeff Collins and Jeff's wife Vicki as co-owners. At that point, Crossroads became a single company with several labels including Horizon and Sonlite.
