History

N’Harmony operated for about ten years at times as a trio and at other times as a quartet. The group was dissolved when group owner Shane Dunlap was tapped by business partners Ernie Haase and Garry Jones to sing lead in the newly formed Signature Sound. Dunlap only remained with Signature Sound for about a year, leaving at the same time Garry Jones and Ernie Haase parted ways. It appeared that Jones and Dunlap would form a new group together, but when Jones organized Mercy’s Mark in 2004, Dunlap was not included.

In 2008, after Mercy’s Mark disbanded, Dunlap reformed N’Harmony with former Mercy’s Mark tenor Brent Mitchell. Former Won By One and Crystal River lead/baritone singer Chris Whitaker was selected to sing baritone, and former Journeymen Quartet bass singer Will Van Wyngarden completed the new lineup. After a year or so, Whitaker left, and another Mercy’s Mark alumnus, Josh Feemster, joined N’Harmony to sing lead. Dunlap shifted to baritone at that point. This lineup was short-lived, and N’Harmony soon disbanded again.
