Goss Brothers (1961-1980)

History

Siblings James, Lari and Roni Goss launched The Goss Brothers in 1961. They were one of the earliest groups to perform using pre-recorded music tracks rather than live musicians. In an industry dominated by quartets, the trio format also set them apart.

Lari Goss enlisted in the US Army in 1965, then resumed performing and recording with The Goss Brothers after his service was completed. The group continued to perform during the 1970s, disbanding when James Goss passed away in 1980. At that point, Roni began working with Nancy Harmon while Lari focused on producing music for other artists.
