History
Several Southern Gospel groups have used the Crownsmen name over the years. This particular Crownsmen Quartet is based in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The Crownsmen Quartet was organized in April of 1968 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Founding members included Emmitt Spears (Tenor), Art Sears (Lead), Doug Sharp (Baritone), Glen Steely (Bass), and Bill Hettinger (Pianist). They made their first recording later that same year.
