NQC Music Awards (2012-present)
The Singing News Fan Awards had been presented during the week of the National Quartet Convention for many years, but the two organizations parted ways in 2012. The NQC Music Awards were established at that point.
By 2014, the two organizations reached an agreement for the Singing News Fan Awards to return to the convention, and the NQC Music Awards were subsequently abandoned.
Awards fell into two categories: Industry Awards and Fan Awards.
INDUSTRY AWARDS
The Industry Awards were voted on by NQC exhibitors that were deemed by the Awards and Criteria Committee to be experienced and knowledgeable about the Southern Gospel Music industry. In addition to the exhibitors, the members of the Southern Gospel Music Guild were eligible to vote.
The Les Beasley Impact Award was determined by the professional members of the Southern Gospel Music Guild only.
The Songwriter of the Year award was determined by a tabulation of radio and sales chart activity rather than a vote.

FAN AWARDS
The Fan Awards were voted on electronically by members of the NQC e-mail list after nominations were made by the Southern Gospel Music Guild Awards and Criteria Committee. Additional nominations were allowed from the e-mail list voters based on certain criteria during the initial ballot.
