Norman Chris White

Biography

Norman Chris White was a native of Maryville, Tennessee, the son of Rev. Carl and Gladys White.

White got his start operating a quartet called The Songmen with his brother Randy. He formed SonLite Records in 1986. Two years later, White formed Chris White Music and Manna White Music Publishing to publish new songs. In 1990, he purchased a satellite radio network called Reach/Solid Gospel which was later sold to Singing News and rebranded as Singing News Radio.

White's SonLite Records label partnered with Horizon Records in 1994 to form Crossroads Music.
