Abernathy All Star Quartet (1964)

History

The Abernathy All Star Quartet was founded by singer/songwriter Lee Roy Abernathy in 1964. Group members included former Sons Of Song members Jerry Redd, Bob Robinson and Calvin Newton, plus bass singer Paul Downing.

The group dissolved after a few months when Jerry Redd accepted a position with a Sheriff's office. They never released any studio recordings.
