Wayne Griffin (???? - July 3, 2013)

Biography

Wayne Griffin was the pianist for the All American Quartet for three periods during the early 1950s. One of the periods ended due to the call for military service. In 1954-1955, Griffin was the pianist for the Dixie Four of Indianapolis, Indiana and later Shenandoah, Iowa. Wayne became a founding member of the semi-professional Travelers Quartet out of Carbondale, Illinois in 1962. They performed on a weekly radio program, and at approximately one hundred singing engagements each year for a number of years. After retirement, Griffin lived in Benton, Illinois.

Wayne Griffin passed away on July 3, 2013 at the age of 83.
