Norman Reece McKinney (March 11, 1934 - July 19, 1968)

Biography

Reece McKinney was a graduate of Sand Hill High School. He was the original bass singer for the Kingsmen Quartet in 1956 and remained with the group until 1964. He joined the Pine Ridge Boys around 1967.

At the same time he sang bass for the Pine Ridge Boys, he was working as a welder for Fishburne Equipment Company in Arden, North Carolina. McKinney was struck in the head by a steel beam in July of 1968 and passed away about a week after the tragic accident.
