Knox Brothers (1968-201?)

History

The Knox Brothers were the sons of Elsie and Vernon Knox of Lebanon, Oregon. In 1968 when the group formed, vocalists included Paul (first tenor), Marion (second tenor/lead), Victor (baritone/lead), and Wayne (bass). Their younger brothers joined the group in 1972 to form their band. These included Arnold (piano), Edwin (drums), Wayne (lead/rhythm guitar), and Paul (bass guitar). Edwin also sang with the group.

The Knox Brothers formed their own record label to release their recordings. Homeward Bound Quartet and Linda Dey also released one album each on the Knox Brothers Records label. The Knox Brothers also promoted concerts in Oregon where they were based. They performed for 48 years including appearances on large events like the Pacific Gospel Music Association. The group announced their retirement in 2016.
