Jerry Lynn Thompson (August 12, 1954 - December 2, 2020)

Biography

Jerry Thompson performed with the Impacts in the late 1970s, but he is best remembered for the 18 years he sang with Nelons from 1980 to 1998. Thompson did take one break from the Nelons in the early 1990s when he and his (then) wife Kelly Nelon sang together as a duo, but they soon returned to rejoin the group.

Thompson also sang with the Blackwood Gospel Quartet and performed as a soloist.
