Thomas Andrew Dorsey (July 1, 1899 - January 23, 1993)

Biography

Thomas A. Dorsey was an African-American composer of Gospel Music. Many of his compositions have been recorded by such Southern Gospel artists as the Statesmen. Perhaps his most famous song is Peace In The Valley, which has been recorded by artists in every Christian genre and by many secular artists.
