James "Jimmy" Blackwood Jr.

Biography

Jimmy Blackwood is the son of the legendary James Blackwood. Jimmy began his career singing for his father's group, the Blackwood Brothers. He also performed with the Junior Blackwood Brothers and the Blackwood Boys. He then joined JD Sumner And The Stamps Quartet. Currently, Jimmy is the owner and lead singer for the Blackwood Brothers, the group with which he began his career.

In late September, 2012, Jimmy announced his retirement from the Blackwood Brothers.
