Jack Laws (December 17, 1944-August 27, 2013)

Biography

Jack Laws sang baritone and played upright bass with The Inspirations. He was one of the original members in 1964. In later years, he played guitar and was featured on one or two vocal solos at each concert. Martin Cook typically introduced him as “the old bear hunter.” After Archie Watkins left the Inspirations in 2009 and formed Smoky Mountain Reunion with other former Inspirations members, Laws made numerous appearances with that group as well.
