Chris West

Biography

Chris West performed with Silent Power, Men of Music, and N Harmony. He was the bass singer for Mercy's Mark from the group's inception in 2004 until his departure in 2005.

It was announced in early 2008 that he, along with fellow Mercy's Mark alumnus Josh Feemster and Craig West (his brother), would be forming a new Southern Gospel quartet. The group had a debut concert May 9, 2008, and another former Mercy's Mark member, Brent Mitchell, will filling in on that date, as the group was still looking for a tenor. Sadly, the group never got off the ground, but Chris and Craig did travel together briefly with Gold City in 2011 when Craig sang lead and Chris ran sound and was a featured bass vocalist for a couple of songs a night, being groomed to take the bass spot upon Tim Riley's eventual retirement.

After some time away, Chris officially stepped into the bass singer role with Gold City following Tim's stroke in 2014. He remained with the group until coming off the road in 2023.
