Charles Burke (September 18, 1936 - September 23, 2011)

Biography

Charles Burke was the original baritone singer for the Pine Ridge Boys in 1963. He owned and operated the Singing Americans for the majority of that group's existence from the late 1970s through the early 1990s. The rights to the Kingsmen Quartet name were transferred to Burke in 2002 by the group's heirs. He transferred ownership of the group name to Ray Dean Reese two years later.

Burke was on the board of directors for the National Quartet Convention for a number of years. He lived in Maiden, NC where he owned Burke Mortuary and a CD duplication business among other business ventures.

Mr. Burke passed away on September 23, 2011.
