Marion B. Snider - (1914 - November 14, 2010)
Biography
Marion B. Snider moved to Dallas, TX in 1934 at the age of 20 so he could attend a Stamps-Baxter music class. He began his career that same year playing for the Lubbock Quartet.
In 1936, Snider became the piano player for the V O Stamps Quartet. He pulled a short stint with the Blackwood Brothers before returning to the Stamps in 1940. After the Stamps, Snider played for the Rangers Quartet.
In 1946, Snider organized the Imperial Quartet, which was sponsored by the Imperial Sugar Company. He later produced a television show in the Dallas market called Songs Of Inspiration. He was also a regular emcee for W B Nowlins Battle Of Songs concerts in Fort Worth, TX.
