Biography

George Thomas "Dad" Speer was a Southern Gospel pioneer. He was the patriarch of the Speer Family, a prolific songwriter, and a music teacher who influenced generations of Southern Gospel singers. Mr. Speer was among the initial inductees into both the GMA Hall Of Fame and the SGMA Hall Of Fame.
