Melvin Klaudt (June 5, 1933 - )

Biography

Melvin Klaudt performed with the Klaudt Indian Family. He was born at the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation in Elbowoods, North Dakota, and began singing with his parents in their family group at the age of 11. They relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, and performed through 1982. Klaudt and his siblings launched the Klaudt Memorial Indian Foundation in 2002 with Melvin serving as Administrator. He also hosted a syndicated television program Just Keep Singing starting in 2010.
