Kenna Turner West

Biography

Kenna Turner West is a Southern Gospel songwriter and singer. She is the daughter of bass singer Ken Turner and the daughter-in-law of Country music legend Dottie West.

West began her career in 1983 at the age of 19 (still Kenna Turner at this point) singing for the Blackwood Brothers with her father. She released her first solo recording the following year. In the late 1990s, she turned her focus to songwriting. One of her first songs recorded by a major artist was "A Taste Of Grace" by Karen Peck And New River. Over the next 20+ years, West wrote/co-wrote more than 1000 songs, wrote a book, and created several musicals for church choirs.

In 2021, West returned to the recording studio to release a solo album of new material.
