C.Carl Price

Carl Price (1921-1983)


Carl W. Price was was born in Arkansas and grew up in and around Tulsa, Oklahoma. He joined the Merchant Marines during World War II. He was the original lead singer for the All American Quartet in 1946. After leaving the quartet in late 1946, he rejoined the Merchant Marines for several years before getting married and starting a family. He later sang in the choir and in a mixed group at his church but was not in any other professional quartets. His son, Lynn plays piano and sings with the Happy Melody Boys Quartet of Huntsville, Alabama.
