Wills Family (1938-????; 2000-????)

History

The Wills Family was formed in 1938 by A. B. "Pop" Wills. The group was based in Texas. They had a nationally syndicated TV program.

Daughter Lou Wills who started her career singing with her family ultimately became a songwriter, journalist, publisher, and perhaps most notably, the industry's first female booking agent.

In 1957, the youngest son of "Pop" Wills, Bob Wills Sr., launched the Inspirationals Quartet.

After the Wills Family name had been dormant for some time, Bob Wills Jr. and his wife Annette relaunched the Wills Family name in 2000. They were joined by his father, Bob Wills Sr., and his sister, Angel. Brothers Don and Ron Wills also traveled with the revived Wills Family when their schedules permitted.

In 2017, Bob Jr., Don, and Ron joined forces with former Inspirationals lead singer Raplh Green and tenor Dan Keeton to relaunch a new version of the Inspirationals.
